May 3 and 4, 2024 is opening weekend and we have lots of creations to share with you! Among them is our new glass enclosure around the dining porch. Brian spent some cold Winter days welding steel, hanging glass and cutting cedar planks so you won’t have to worry about what Kansas weather is coming when you buy your advance tickets to Origin!

As the May / June / July reservation calendar fills, we would like to extend our gratitude for the opportunity to share this land, these gifts, this labor of love with you again - or perhaps for the first time. Thank you, as always, to everyone for your support and enthusiasm as we embark upon our third exciting year at The Burning Barrel. It’s you who keeps this vision moving forward. We look forward to seeing you around our table!

As Late Summer descends, gather your people and head for the hills of LeCompton! Bring your picnic blanket and chairs to set up camp for a farmside festival from 2 to 11 pm.
